Home additions vary in size greatly, they can be as small as a 20-30 square foot extension of a room onto a porch or as large as 2,000+ square foot addition of an in-law suite. You can add on going up, out, into an attic, onto a porch or into a basement, the options are endless. Our goal with any addition is to make it look like it was always there. You don’t want an addition that doesn’t match the house. This starts with the design, we will work with you to design an addition that fits your needs and blend it in with your existing home. During construction we work out details with you as your dreams become reality. Details like matching siding and roofing to choosing flooring and matching stain on interior trim.
At the top is a large project that included removing the entire roof over an existing first floor and adding a steeper roof with loft where an attic space once was. Also, interior walls were removed to create space for a larger living room/dining room and kitchen, all remodeled as part of the loft addition. What made this project tricky was there was a newly remodeled bathroom and laundry room below the new loft area that could not be disturbed or damaged during construction. The framing and installation of the new roof had to be done quickly in order to prevent water damage to these areas from rain. Large North and East facing windows give a beautiful view of Lake Erie. The shed dormer also with a view, opens up the loft making it a good space for reading, sleeping or playing. Large patio doors open up to a covered stamped concrete porch with wood ceiling and detailed wood columns.
“Absolutely fantastic to work with. Mike performed a major home renovation for us and it turned out great. Very patient, organized and always accessible.”
Here is a large master suite addition with entire home remodel on Lake Erie in Vermilion, OH. This once outdated small cottage became a beautiful well decorated home. It nearly doubled in size. With the addition of an entire master suite wing that included; large bedroom with high windows gas wood stove and an amazing view, large bathroom with custom walk-in shower, large walk-in closet, laundry room, an extension and remodel of the kitchen with custom made cabinets and soapstone countertops, a second set of stairs leading up to a loft that also has an amazing view, rear deck, a bathroom designated for cleanup after playing on the beach, a three car garage, a front porch, and basement. The remodeling part of the project included; remodeling two bathrooms, two bedrooms, removing flat ceiling and making cathedral ceiling in living room/dining room, foyer, and an office area. The office area is separated from the living room by a two-sided fireplace. This home also has; all new windows, new roof, new siding, added on skylights, all new foam insulation. As you walk through this home you will notice many nice features like custom made shelving/cabinets/woodwork, hidden nooks, a neat bridge/hall connecting the addition to the house, cathedral ceilings, a hall with circular walls and much more. This is truly a custom-made home that perfectly fits the lifestyle and personality of is owners.
“My wife and I were pleased to employ Mike Strehle of All Seasons Builders as our general contractor to remodel, rebuild, and enlarge a cottage on the shore of Lake Erie. His workmanship and project management skills are indicative of the professional he is. Although we made a great effort to limit change orders, those that arose were met with a creative and positive attitude on Mike’s part. We are truly happy with the home Mike created with us and would eagerly recommend All Seasons Builders to anyone seeking a highly professional general contractor and builder.”

The owners of this house came to me with a set of drawings for a dream master suite and living room extension. Within the master suite there is a large bathroom with his and hers areas, joined centrally by a walk-in shower and large linin closet. The bedroom has patio doors leading to a new deck with a view of the woods. A large walk-in closet finishes up the master suite. As part of the same project an 8ft extension of the living room was added. This once dark and crammed living room is now open and full of light. It has a wall full of patio doors which lead out to a large deck. Also included with this addition project is a kitchen remodel, new flooring on entire first floor, new roof, new HVAC system and several other updates within the home.
“We contracted with Mike (All Season Builders) for an addition to our home. Mike is a patient, professional and conscientious builder. Mike was always ready to answer our questions and discuss our “ideas” for our addition. We increased the size of our great room, added a master suite, remodeled our kitchen, and added a deck and other miscellaneous work. As our project progressed, Mike was always ready to take on additional tasks that came up – adding a complete heat/cool system, new hot water tank, whole house generator and more. Mike has also done impressive work for my parents and sister/brother-in-law showing his consistency in completing high quality projects. We are very happy with our completed project… it is more beautiful than I even anticipated!”
Here is an addition added to a historic home. With an addition like this it is important that it looks as though it was part of the original home. Features that blended this addition to the home are; arched windows, decorative corbels, flat roof, matching trim details, and matching sandstone foundation. The interior of this addition was finished off with custom interior trim, porcelain tile floor and custom made built in cabinets.
